In 1963, President Hinckley called me, however improbably, to succeed Sister Elouise Bell as publications manager on his staff. During my training period, we were listed as companions. When we encounter each other these days, it is with a hug and a joyous cry of "Companion!" We're amused; some are shocked...
After serving under President Hinckley 1961-64, I returned with Valerie and our two small sons to help my father, President H Duane Anderson, complete his mission after the death of my mother in June, 1968, in France. |
