Hey guys; have been curious for awhile and am wanting to know the whereabouts of a Sis. Susan E. Winburn (from Canberra,AUS) and Thomas E. Felt from LV,NV. They would have served under Pres. MacDougal around my same time, 1979 -1981. I just haven't been able to search them up online or thru Facebook and was wondering where they ended up? Hi!
I have a good friend that was baptized in this mission in Spring/Summer of 1991. She was never really active but recently asked me to help her connect with the elders that baptized her. I have pretty limited information but hoping that someone on this site can point me to the right person.
One of the elders names was Steve Jensen. It would have been in Jackson County or Athens Clark County ... possible staying with the Hollett family.

Start Time- 1:00 PM
Ending Time- 6:00ish
A lunch of Pulled Pork Sandwiches, chips, drinks, and salads will be served. Food will be available for the duration. Please come when it works out for you, even if its just for a pop-in.

I want to let all the missionaries who served in Adams Park know that Ruth W. Cunliffe (The Judge) died on December 2, 2010. I want to express my love for this wonderful women. She was an inspiration to many missionaries. She was hard on us at times with her inspections but caring enough to teach us how to care for the house and our shirts and share her fabulous chili and pound cakes. She was helpful and kind and fun to be around. It was often comforting to talk with her and share our experiences with her. Though she was never interested in hearing the message of the Church she always showed her love for the Savior through her actions. She housed missionaries for over ten years. She will be missed.

Hi to all,
I am new to the site and don't know who I am looking for. I have had a growing desire to find 2 Elders. I lived in Buford on Lake Lanier, back when it was not so fancy! I was 13 and was baptized on April 27, 1980. The best recollection I have is that one was from Idaho or Iowa a state starting with an I, and his last name started with a B. The other was from Hawaii. I was baptized in the Sandy Springs building. The building that is no longer the wonderful place that it once was. If anyone can help me or send them my direction I'd love to connect with them. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Just so everyone is aware, there is a GAM group called "Georgia Atlanta Mission" that has a bunch of missionaries on it... around 150. Most of these people are missionaries who served under Lund during 2004-2006

I have sad news to report. Elder Doug K. Neilsen passed away April 6, 2007. He was struck by a car while changing a flat tire along side the road. Doug served under Pres Edman. I have been slow to reporting this news and I apologize. Doug was not only a companion but my best friend. I will miss him terribly but will look forward to seeing him again.

I recently received this email concerning a current GAM missionary:
Br. Caufield;
Don't know whether this is the type of thing which goes on your site, but our
son, Elder Matthew Cole, was severely injured in an accident Dec. 18 while doing
service for members in Douglasville. He will be driven home to Texas by his dad
after his post operative checkup Jan. 3. I spent awhile with him in the hospital
and then the Mission Home. The Mathuseks are very gracious.
Elder Cole is VERY sad about this turn of events, and plans to return to serve
that last 4 months as soon as he is fully healed. He will have a medical release
with option to return.

The Reunion has been moved due to Conference being a week earlier than we originally thought. The new date is Friday September 29. It will still be held at the same time and place. Thanx to those who have sent pictures. I am still in need of more. If you plan to send them, please do so within the next 10 days. I know this is a long shot, but I would really love to get a copy of this. While serving in the Griffin Ward, my companion and I found a CD that a previous missionary had left in our car. On the CD was a beautiful track of "I Can Go the Distance" with quotes from Church leaders filling in on many of the instrumental parts. I thought it was so beautiful, but so did my companion. I should have been selfish :) but I let him have the CD. Later, it was apparently damaged and he threw it away. I was wondering where someone got ahold of this song. I would love to have this inspiring tune again. Please email me with any information. Thanks.
