Here is a brief update of our family…(from our last Christmas letter)
Taylor (23) is starting his senior year studying finance at BYU. He spent
last summer working as a legal assistant at Rich’s law firm, managing to
squeeze in a few camping trips with friends. He still loves to run and
even participated in his first triathlon a few weeks ago. He was training
for the St. George marathon in October but a hip injury got in the way.
Maybe next year Taylor!
Cameron (21) is continuing his studies at BYU-Idaho in the cold town of
“Iceberg” as he calls it! He amazes us by continuing to maintain a 4.0
GPA in physics. He spent the summer this year “playing” in
Rexberg…golfing, river running, camping, etc. He definitely discovered
there is more to Idaho than just school!
Lindsay (19) has had a crazy but fun semester at BYU. She is starting her
2nd year of nursing school (loves it), has been the relief society
president in her ward and still manages to find all kinds of time to play!
She hasn’t had a break from school since she started her freshman year
but continues to love life.
Trent (17) is a senior at Davis High and is getting a little “trunky”
to finish high school! He was in the school musical, The Scarlet
Pimpernel, and is now rehearsing for one act plays. He will be attending
BYU this fall…could it be possible we will really have 4 kids away at
college next year? Poor Parker!
Parker (14) is an officer at Fairfield Jr. High in ninth grade. He made
the Fairfield basketball team…but turned into the official scorekeeper,
water boy and manager after breaking three bones in three different
accidents during the first month of the season. The last cast comes off
next week! He had a great time anyway!
Our Family was able to spend some time together this summer in Hawaii. We
had a great time snorkeling, scuba diving, parasailing, golfing, and
enjoying the beaches. Those of us here at home sure love it when the
“college kids” come to visit! We are reminded that family really is
everything!
We hope all is well with all of our missionaries. Thanks for serving in
Atlanta and for being such great examples for our family. If you can make
it to the reunion we would love to visit with you…if not please continue
to keep in touch. Please pass this letter on to anyone on your e-mail list
as we are missing many. Thanks.
Love, Rich and Jean
Jones

LDS QUOTE: |
"Brothers and sisters, the missionaries need our faith and prayers. Pray fervently every day for their safety and protection, for this is one very important way we all can support them in accomplishing their essential assignment of proclaiming the gospel to all the world. I bear testimony that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. We are engaged in his work. I testify that through the faith and prayers of all members of the Church, we will continue moving this great work forward to the final victory. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen."
