It is good to hear from all of you. I served two years in the army and left as a reserve officer. Enjoying reserve duty I was also happy that I did not have to stay forever.
Enrolling in university at Saarbrücken I joined Corps Frankonia Prag zu Saarbrücken, a dueling fraternity where I still feel most at home. After being bored to death with business, I switched to political science minoring in philosophy and American literature. I proceeded with an MA in International Studies at BYU. Now I am finishing a dissertation at Maryland that enquires why rulers would accept the power limits of the consitution? My answer is that you can either enjoy unlimited power or personal security but never both. That is why institutions such as democracy or the rule of law are possible.
I have been very lucky to marry my nice, smart, and beautiful wife Pam. We have two children Mahalia and Nelson. On the downside, I have gained way too much weight. Give me a call! |
