I have been teaching school for 20 years. I met my husband through a friend that we knew through teaching. We have 3 children, Annelise is 15, Jerron is 13, and Brandon is 10. My husband, Calvin, is also a 3rd grade teacher. We taught school in Saudi Arabia for two years and came home because of conditions over there. We loved our experience over there. We learned so much about other cultures and met so many wonderful people from the Middle East. It was a great opportunity for our children to see that there are wonderful people all over the world.
I look back on my experiences that I had serving as a missionary in Germany with fond memories. I feel that I have been a much stronger person because of the many people and experiences that I had when serving in Germany. I have since had the opportunity to do the temple work for Herr and Frau Hasenfratz, many of you know and love them. There were many missionaries who lived with them and know what wonderful people they were. They definitely deserved to have their work done for them. It was really a sweet experience to be able to do that for them. |
