What a wonderful place to feel closer to you'll who has been part of the happiest mission ever. I'll never forget President Gay's instructions and inspired leadership as he led us to do our quota of the work in this part of the vineyard. serving in Ghana Accra Mission brought me so much experience and appreciation for the work.

Dear brethern,
On the 17th of May 2009, we lost a returned Missionary from Cape Coast. His name is Broher Ernest Arko. He was my companion in Kumasi zone as zone leaders. He completed mission 1992.
The funeral and burial will come off on 11th July 2009 at Cape Coast. All are invited to mourn with the family.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.

The "new day" dawned in Africa with the dedication of the second temple on the African continent.
Latter-day Saints gathered for the Accra Temple dedication from throughout Ghana and from some of the neighboring nations in the temple district.
President Gordon B. Hinckley dedicated the Accra Ghana Temple Sunday jan 11th. He spoke of this dedication as the fulfillment of hopes, dreams and prayers of many people.

The First Presidency has announced the open house and dedication dates for the Accra Ghana Temple.
West Africa's first temple will open its doors to the public on Dec. 3, 2003, and, except for Sundays Dec. 7, and Dec. 14, remain open through Dec. 20.
This temple was announced Feb. 16, 1998, and ground was broken and the site dedicated Nov. 16, 2001, by Elder Russell M. Nelson of the Quorum of the Twelve.
The temple will be dedicated Sunday, Jan. 11, 2004, in three sessions. It will open for regular ordinance work on Monday, Jan. 12, 2004.

i've been trying to reach a missionary i served with in th same area: elder ASARE. He belonged to the North Ridge ward; He started his mission in the Nigeria port harcourt mission and completed the second half of his mission in the happiest mission. If any knows his address or the new town chapel's address, i'll be really happy that he should let me know.
