Funny how things don't go as planned.... My husband Sean and I are still living in my parents house, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. They received their mission call and will be entering the MTC on April 30th to serve as Director of Humanitarian Services in the Romania Bucharest Mission (that makes 4/4 of my family serving in Eastern Europe). So, we'll be making a trip next summer to visit many-a-former missions.
Last summer we went to China with my sister and her family where we lived off white rice and watermelon. Chinese food in China is NOTHING like the stuff I love(d) here. I showed them, though...I got sick on the Great Wall of China! Yeah, that's right I threw up over the Great Wall. Heat stroke is a kicker.
No kids yet, but we're being kept busy with Sean still attending Weber State and me waiting to start working on paying clients' hair. I've been hired on at a new salon that is going to be so amazing! Things have worked out perfectly for me, in the professional sense at least. In the meantime I'm still serving at Corbin's Grille and have applied for another position at Delta Airlines.
I'd love to reconnect with anyone in the neighborhood, even if I have to serve you food to make it happen :) |
