Served: 1984 - 1987 | Associated Alumni | Comments: President & Sister Storey were living in Eden, Utah at the time President Storey was called to preside over the Idaho Boise Mission. President and Sister Storey often commented while traveling on the eastern half of the mission that it would be a shorter drive for them to head toward their home in Eden then drive back to the mission home in Boise.
President Storey owned a dairy farm in Eden and also served as Weber County Commissioner in the late 70's and early 80's. After returning home from Idaho, President Storey again became involved in Utah politics and was elected to the Utah State Senate in 1989.
President Storey passed away in 1992. He was honored at his funeral by family, friends, church and state officials, and many of his former missionaries for his longtime service to the Lord and to his fellowman.
Information provided by Paul McGuire who served in the mission office for 14 months with President Storey. |

LDS QUOTE: |
"The Lord has given no greater charge to His people than sharing the gospel with our Heavenly Fathers children. Missionaries take people out of the darkness of the world and lead them to the safety and light of the gospel of Jesus Christ. To find and teach and baptize and confirm someone who has never paid much attention to God or to Christ and His great atoning sacrifice is one of the greatest services a priesthood holder can provide."
