I live in Manchester, Iowa (part of the Iowa Des Moines mission) and... it's a long story. End result: I'm looking for the elders/sisters who baptized someone named Mary Louise Schmidt. She was born 31 July 1940 in Monticello, Iowa and died in 1993 or 94 in Manchester, Iowa. She is listed on new.familysearch.org (but it gives her death date as 2000) and the source listed is the LDS Membership Record and the Temple file (even though her work hasn't been done--she was never endowed). She was baptized 15 Jun 1980, but the site doesn't give a place for a live baptism. Is there a way that you could post a message (I tried) and include my email? (The email will not be published here, please contact the webmaster through the site if you have any information and it will be forwarded on to Christi) I don't know where she was actually baptized but I'm fairly confident she lived in Iowa her whole life. My in-laws, active members of the church, have lived here for 60 years and have never heard of her so I don't think she was actually baptized while she lived in Manchester. Des Moines maybe?? If you want the whole story, I'd be happy to share. Just looking for the missionaries who baptized her. THANKS for your time!
Christi K. Johnson

Passing this on from Newton branch RS president. Thought you'd like to know.
Teresa
Hi Sisters
Sister Roush has asked me to let everyone know that Jean passed away
this afternoon.
She wants us to know how much they both love and appreciate Newton
Branch. She says she does not need any food, but prayers would be
appreciated. She also asked that we do not send flowers, but if we feel
like making a tribute to Jean to contribute to the Grinnell Hospice.
There will not be any memorial service in the near future. Sister Roush
is keeping her apartment in Grinnell, so she will be back, but tomorrow
her daughter will come get Sister Roush and she will stay with her in
the Chicago area for a while.
When I have an address for the Roush's daughter I will pass it along.
You can also send her a note through e-mail at jdroush@hotmail.com . I
know Sister Roush would appreciate hearing from us. Amy Skouson

I just learned of the passing of Elder Brad Taylor. He was one of my companions for a short time but I learned alot from him. Below is a copy of his Obituary. see: www.walkerfamilymortuary.com
Bradley Erik Taylor
(March 4, 1976 - March 2, 2008)
Bradley E. Taylor returned to his Father in Heaven, March 2, 2008. He was born in Ogden, Utah on March 4, 1976. He had a zest for life and always made you want to live your own life a little more fully and passionately. He was always the first one to help someone in need. Brad had a contagious smile with the biggest dimples ever. He made friends wherever he went and always enjoyed a good practical joke. He was always the life of any party or gathering. Brad enjoyed camping, fishing, grilling, fixing gourmet food, karaoke, and spending time with his family. Brad’s biggest love in his life were his two children, Trevor and EmmaLee. They were always the main topic of conversation in his life. As a father, he enjoyed every moment he spent with them.
Brad was a hard worker. He was a graduate of Gunnison Valley High School in 1994. He then served a successful mission to Des Moines, Iowa from 1995 to 1997. Brad worked at Excel Graphics in Provo for 10 years and was currently working at Data Mark in West Valley City.
Brad will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by – His two greatest gifts, Trevor and EmmaLee Taylor; DeRay E. Taylor, (father); Caroldine Gilbert Vos, (mother); Emma Mason, (grandmother);and his brothers and sisters, Carolyn and Bryan Graham; Debbie Wilson; David and Reyna Taylor; Brent and Lalena Taylor; Rustin and Kilee Taylor. He was ADORED and loved by many nieces and nephews. Brad was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thorley Chuck Taylor, Ileen Taylor, and Dean A. Mason; and his step father, Wayne Gilbert.
Start planning the party, Brad. We’ll see you in Zions!!!
Funeral proceedings will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Spanish Fork 14th Ward Chapel, 1750 East 750 South, in Spanish Fork. Family and friends may call Saturday morning at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. In lieu of flowers, please make donations at Zions Bank in the Trevor and EmmaLee Taylor Trust Fund. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
