Comments:
I am married to the greatest girl on the earth, Rayna . All together we have 5 kids. We have 4 grandkids--all from "her" side so far, but my oldest son, Nino just got married, so maybe that will change in a year or so. We have a great life together in Sandy. We have cats for kids now, and a new Cocker Spaniel puppy named Cricket. We teach the 4-5 year olds in Primary. This is the best calling ever! As a hobby together, we raise and breed finches. We have a large avairy in our home where we tend to between 25 and 40 birds of eight different species. It is a joy to have continual, new life in our home.

We love our professions; Rayna teaches Middle School, health and ceramics and I am the Enrollment Director for a financial coaching group here in Salt Lake and in Rancho Cucamonga, California. I still get to use my Italian now and then. From working for many years with Hispanics, I now also have a conversational understanding of Spanish, both reading and writing.

I'm amazed at how much life-learning there is to do at my age. When I was young, I thought a 50-year old had ALL the answers. Was I ever wrong! It's taken me this long, I guess, to get to where I am teachable regarding the things the Lord has seen fit for me to learn. I wonder what will 80 be like?!

I encourage anyone who happens to read this to strive. That is "my" word for life right now. My natural man wants to coast, and that always leaves me disappointed. I believe we become what we think about most. I have to stay focused on what I want or I always get the lesser prize that comes along with settling for less because I did not strive for the higher one.

Don't ever give up. No matter what. I've been "down there" and there is a way back up. I testify of the possibilities that are there for you. Just don't give up. Focus on what you want. Think in positive terminology. Find a mentor and an example you can follow here on earth as you follow the Savior from up above. You will make it.
