I also had companions not listed above, Elder Rieser, Salvatore Ciccarello, Trafford Cole, Elder Piggott, Elder Miller, Elder Middleton, Terry Smith and three more that my brain can't seem to remember. I have been married for 32 years with 7 children. Three are married and I have 3 grandchildren. My first Son, 4th child - served a mission in L.A. on a Hearing Impared. My next son turns 19 in February. So I am looking forward to another missionary!
I taught High School for 12 years in Idaho Falls - teaching History/Government and then went to work for the Govt. - the U.S. Small Business Administration and FEMA on Disaster Recovery & Assistance in Sacramento, CA - rebuilding small businesses and homes after major disasters. I was Field Chief for many of the major disasters you may know by name.
I have been at Albertsons (Boise) for the last 5 years doing Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning and Response - I helped put our stores back together and got associates stabilized and back to work on 8 hurricanes in the last two years.
I lead the project to relocate 100 Katrina Families (victims unknown to the company previously) from N.O. to various parts of the country - getting them jobs at our stores, getting them apartments, paying for a years worth of rent, more job training, furnishings, clothing, food and in cars if needed.
I have served as Elder Q. Pres for 5 years, 2nd C. in a Bishopric for 5.5 years, as Bishop in Calif., High Council, Stake Presidency, as Gospel Doctrine Teacher 3 times and now I have weathered through the training of 3 consecutive very young High Priest Group leaders. We have a very young ward - I feel old quite often. We have had 4 ward boundry changes and 2 Stake changes in the last five years and the ward has 4 nurserys.
I live in the country - I love gardening so I have a 1/2 acre garden. My 3 boys and son in laws have a great time playing football. I am the full time quarterback - I can still pin point my throws but I can't run like they want anymore. |
