Served: 2006 - 2008 | Areas Served: Treviso, Parma, Lecco, Biella | Companions: Tyson Clay Ashby | James Scott Aylett | Travis James Rowberry | Tyson Van Alfen | Comments: (This is a part of Josh's April 9th letter)
Today I have to pack my bags. Tomorrow I will be going to Milano to have my last interview with President Dunaway and then to spend the night in a hotel with other missionaries in my group. Friday morning I'll be headed home on a long journey. My companion Anziano Calder is amazing and will be training a new missionary in the field. This will allow some new ideas to come to Biella and a new hope. It will bring with it some changes and will help the city progress more. He's ready and will do amazing with a brand new missionary! I'll miss this companion a lot because he's just so awesome.
I just wanted to thank everyone for all you've done for me and all your support with these two years. They haven't been easy, but have sure been worth it! I love all of you and want you to know that you helped me out a lot.
It's been really sad to say goodbye to the people I've come to love and get to know. The mission is a once in a lifetime thing and doesn't happen ever again. I've become accustomed to this work and life, and now it's going to be hard to switch back! I don't know if I'm ready to come back... I will miss dearly this work, helping out others, and the joy that I feel when helping others. Biella is a beautiful city full of success and potential, the branch is awesome and have become family to me, and I will miss it oh so much!
Watch out everyone because I'm coming home. I've foughten a good fight and given my all. Are you ready?
Ci vediamo fra poco!
Con affetto,
Anziano Joshua Heyrend |
