1. Is this an "Official" or "UN-Official" church site for the mission?
Unofficial. This site is put on by missionary alumni that wanted a site where we can keep track of people. We just want a way for people to know what's going on in the mission, share our experiences and let people know when there are will be reunions.
2. How do I add my profile?
Go to the Alumni link first. This will pull up the Alumni Search form. At the bottom of the page is the Add Profile link. Click that and fill in the blanks.
3. How do I change my profile?
Go to the Alumni page and pull up your profile. When you've done that, there's a link at the bottom that will bring you to the edit page. You will need your username and password to enter and edit information.
4. I added/edited my profile, why aren't the changes shown?
All profile additions and changes must be approved by the webmaster. I have to do this to make sure that no one puts info on that does not reflect the views of the mission or the Church.
5. I can't upload my picture, what did I do wrong?
The photo must be in jpeg format. Sometimes the photo can be too large for the server. If you have any trouble or you don't have a scanner and would like to add a photo, please send me a Comment and I can help you with that.
6. I lost my password!
Go to your profile. When you view it, down at the bottom is a link you can click on that corresponds to forgotten passwords, and it will be e-mailed to you. If you have changed e-mail addresses since updating your profile, you will need to have the webmaster help you with this one. Just go to the Comments page and ask for help.
7. How do I select my companions in the profile page?
To select multiple companions, and you don't need to do this in order of companions, click one of them and them hold down the Ctrl button as you select the others.
8. How do I send a message to everyone?
Make sure you send the e-mail to the Webmaster. Then the webmaster will get your mail sent to everyone on the list.
9. I posted a message/story, why isn't it showing up?
All posts must be authorized by the Webmaster before they are viewable on the web site.
10. What can I post here?
Since all data that is found on this web site is not limited to just alumni, the webmaster is morally responsible for all data found on it. We wish to keep this area clean of slander and negative gossip. Please do not be offended, we are very sure that none of the alumni would do this, however, the web site does allow anonymous posting. (This means that not only mission alumni can post messages.)
11. "I've never wanted to put my personal information on the internet"
No one wants their contact information shared on the internet. The alumni page is set up so that no one sees your email address, although people can still send you messages. Only you decide if you want your address and telephone number shared. It's as simple as clicking one button.
