Dear friends and fellow missionaries,
We are planning a reunion again this year, same place and time (6pm to 8 pm) as last year. We hope you will attend and bring your enthusiasm and some pot luck food to share. Please spread the word! Forward this email to your companions you haven't seen in a while and encourage them to come.
We expect to have as conference visitors Elder and Sister Dekaye and Elder and Sister Guehi so we can receive the latest update on the progress of the Church.
We love all of you so very much for your contributions to the work of the Lord, both in West Africa and here at home.
As you may know, the growth of the Church in your mission field continues to lead the Church -- so much so that this summer a new mission, the third in Cote d'Ivoire, will be created. It will be headquartered in Yamoussoukro. Awesome! Judy and I spoke with the newly called mission president couple this past week. They live in Minnesota. They may be able to join us.
Judy had heart surgery just a few weeks ago, and is recovering well, but she will not be able to travel by the end of next week. So I am planning to fly in for the reunion and fly home to spend Easter with her. We will need a little extra help to make this reunion come off smoothly, but you have always been generous with your time, your food and your love.
