I married my high school sweetheart 2 months after returning home. Jenny and I graduated from BYU in '84 and I graduated from UC Irvine Med School in '88 and did residency in surgery and urology - finishing in 1994. I was full time faculty at UC Irvine Med Center until 2000, and have been in private practice in Irvine, CA since 2000. We live in Mission Viejo, CA and I have been serving as bishop of the Mission Viejo 3rd ward for the last 5 1/2 years. We have 6 children, the oldest, Sarah, marrying in the Newport Beach temple next month and is attending BYU law school. Jenny and I jsut returned home last month from Berlin, Germany, to bring home our second child, Josh, after a very successful mission there, and will return to BYU next month to continue his premed undergrad. Our 3rd child, Ben, is a freshman at BYU and is preparing for a mission next summer. 4th and 5th, Danny and Bekah are 10th and 9th graders at high school and enjoying early morning seminary. 6th, Sammy, is a 4th grader and loves to keep up with his brothers at whatever they are doing - snowboarding, wakeboarding, b-ball, v-ball, or computer/xbox games. I would love to hear if anyone knows about two families from Toyohashi - the Obayashi family and the Suzuki family both baptized around Feb 1979. The Obayashi family had 3 early teens- 2 girls and a boy, and the Suzuki family had a baby boy. Kazuyoshi and Kazuko Suzuki. Yoichiro and Keiko Obayashi - Kyoko, Yasuhito, Ikuko. |
