I just want to thank all the returned missionaries and their old mission presidents who became friends with my parents (their last name is Hirao) over the years while Kobe mission was closed. My mom finally joined the church several years ago after paying tithing for about a year by her own decision as a non-member. I could not fly to Japan (it costs too much) for her baptism from US, but President Gary Stevenson came all over to Joyo Ward from Nagoya to attend the special event. I really appreciate all your efforts. My father received baptism in Tokyo Temple. I went back there with my mother in 2008 and sealed to my parents.
I currently live in California with my husband and 3 teanage kids. If you do not have much confidence in Japanese anymore, please don't worry. My mother understand wrtten English better than spoken English. I would be happy send your message to her as well.
