Nice to see a good site up and running. I can't believe it has been over 20 years since coming home from Sendai. Serving a mission was, with the sole exception of marrying my dear wife, the single best decision I ever made. It was an investment of 2 years that the Lord has paid back to me many-fold.
I currently serve as president of the Coeur d'Alene, Idaho stake. I received a bachelors and Masters in International Management with the hope of returing to Japan in the business realm, but, alas, that was not meant to be. I manage a large dermatology practice in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. We have three great kids.
Some of the most fulfilling and satisfying times of my life were in the Sendai mission. I still know the church is true. I am still very humbled at the thought that the Lord would have entrusted me to assist in his work is a small way in that great place.
I love watching the Anime "Totoro", because it captures, for me, the "inaka" of northern Japan that I spent most of my time in. My kids love it, too! |
