News Item: Yamagata 60th Year Commemoration - Update

Webmaster Note: Yamagata held a 60th-anniversary commemoration October 24, 2010. Everyone who served there was invited to attend, as well as to submit recollections of their time there. If any of you attended, please contact me using a 'Comments' entry. I'd like to post a page with pictures and stories from both the celebration and from those early years. Thanks.

Ichikawa Akira Kyodai, a Sendai RM who is helping to spread the word, asked us to help. Here is an (abbreviated) English translation of two emails:
We're looking forward to our Yamagata Ward 60th anniversary special sacrament meeting and meal (shokuji-kai) on Sunday, October 24th at 10 AM. Also, on the evening prior at 6:30 PM (Saturday the 23rd), we're planning a "Akashi to Imo-ni kai" (Testimony and Imo-ni-kai (an outdoor vegetable bbq)-meeting)-won't you join us? Yamagata Ward - Satomi Aizawa
Before the end of September, we're asking RMs who can attend to please let us know. We'd also like to invite dear friends (investigators, oyasumi-kaiin) for this special occasion. If you know of any who you'd like to be invited, please also submit names and any contact information you may have, so Yamagata Ward members can try to locate them to invite them.
いよいよ10月24日（日曜日）のワード伝道60周年記念聖餐会、食事会です。その前日 23日（土曜日）午後6時30分から「証し会といも煮会」を計画しています。もしよろしければ、有志の集会になりますが、土曜日の夕方から出席なさいませんか？

さて、本年は山形ワードの６０周年ということで10月24日に特別聖餐会が計画されています。またその前日の23日（土）の夕方に芋煮会も予定されています。
帰還宣教師でそこに参加される方はお知らせ下さるようにお願いします。さらに山形ワードでは参加される帰還宣教師にゆかりのある当時の教会員、求道者とお休み会員を招待したいと言う事です。そのような方があれば加えてお知らせ下さい。名前が分かれば山形ワードでその方達の所在地を調べる事になっています。
以上の件、9月末日までにお知らせ頂くと助かります。
