Hello,
My family and I will be traveling in Tanzania in October. We were
wondering if there are branches in Moshi or Arusha?
If there are, will you send us the address and meeting times? That would
be most helpful.
I realize that you are not there currently, but you have an "in" on the
information of the area so I thought I would try.
Thank you,
Sincerely,
Melissa Umbach

Elder Bowen, please forward my personal hope that missionaries who are in
the Utah area will try to come to this reunion. Sister Clark and I haven't
been able to come for a couple of times. We are coming this year, and will
be eager to see as many of 'our' missionaries as can possible be there...we
miss you, each one! I am enclosing my email address so that those who can
not come will write to us. I hope you are all still 'WART HOGGING IT'

Here is a letter I received from one of the full time missionaries, Sister Gibbons, currently serving in the Kenya Nairobi Mission. I just thought I would pass along her information I recieved from her. It's been almost 10 years since I left the mission and it's great to see all the progress that has taken place.
Hi Jeremy,
I am finally getting back to you with some of the information you wanted about KNM. Sorry I have taken so long but life is busy in the Mission Office as usual. You ask about an email address to use - this one for the Mission Office is okay but many have access to it. If you would like to email me for updates at you may because we will be here until Jan. 2005, and then I could pass it on to the next person.
You ask how many ward/branches, stakes/districts, we have now, and the chapels the church owns. I will give you the list of the above and if the church owns the chapel I will put a * in front of their name. I assume that you knew that the Nairobi Stake was organized Sept. 2001. We are hoping that the Kampala Stake will be organized sometime this year.
*NAIROBI STAKE WARDS AND BRANCHES*
*Nairobi 1st & 2nd Ward (same building and the Stake house)
*Kasarani Ward
*Riruta Ward
*Upper Hill Ward (being remodeled to house Mission Office, Temporal Affairs and the Ward)
*Langata Branch
Westlands Branch (a chapel is being built and to be finished this year)
Athi River Branch
** *CHYULU DISTRICT*
*Darajani Branch
*Makutano I & II Branch (same building and Dist. offices)
Mbukoni Branch
Nzayo Branch
*Nthongoni Branch
Mtito Andei Branch
Mombasa Branch
*OTHER KENYA Branches*
Eldoret Branch
Kitale Branch
Kiminini Branch
Sikhendu Branch
Ndivisi Branch
KILUNGU HILLS
*Kyambeke Branch
*Ilima Branch
Kilili Branch
*KAMPALA DISTRICT*
*Kololo Branch
Ntinda Branch
Nsambya Branch
Mengo Branch
Kabowa Branch
Makindye Branch
*Mukono Branch
Entebbe Branch
Seeta Branch
Kajjansi Branch
*JINJA DISTRICT*
Begembe Branch
*Jinja Branch
Walukuba I & II Branch
*ETHIOPIA BRANCHES*
Bekulobet Branch
*Meganagna Branch (just dedicated last Nov.)
Debre Zeit Branch
*TANZANIA BRANCHES*
Chang'ombe Branch
*Ubungo* *Branch
*Kinondoni Branch
We have about 100 missionaries serving in the mission and baptize about 50+ a month. This will give you a few things to think about.
Have a good day,
Sister Gibbons

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to locate a missionary companion of mine called Martin Kapps Kabuye who served his mission in the Ghana Accra Mission in 1999/2000. I think he finished his mission in the Kenya Nairobi Mission.
Bro Kabuye is from Uganda and as far as I am away is still living in Kampula
if anyone can help me with any information I would be very grateful
Thankyou

Hey all you guys out there!
I just arrived in Kampala this morning, June 13th, 2003. I will be here for the next two months. I am doing an internship with an NGO called "Reach the Children" in the area of microfinance.
I am staying with the Ssenyongos while I am here and I will be working closely with James Kizza.
I hope all is well with all of you. If any of you would like to send a message via me, just e-mail me.
Take care and talk to you later!
Elder Richard G. Winsor

I served back in the early 90's and was wondering if a few people are still around. If anyone has info on Elder Kaagwa , Kingsley Brako , Amos Tumwesige, or Saul Makubuya. I would appreciate it if anyone could send me their info. I would like to write some of these people.
