News Item: Obama Elect

I wanted to share my feelings towards the New President Elect. First off I didn't vote for Obama but the story behind this and the ties to Kenya are just too great to overcome. I realize that we recognize Obama as a citizen of the United States but what a day in History for such an unlikely man to become President of the United States?
I share in the feelings of celebration and I'm torn between a republic party that I align myself with its values and the absolute democracy that elected a man that is not even one generation full blood American but the very starting point of that Generation.
Through my direct line I have several ancestors that can be traced back to the very pilgrimage that came from Wales.
I hope as President of the United States Obama will take the oath of office and defend the Constitution that has so shaped this nation with all of his might.
We have struggled as a Nation these past years and we have seen greediness wreak havoc on our economy.
I hope that as the dust settles in the wake of these transitions that our fore fathers are not forgotten. That the seeds of freedom will still be sown, so that generations of Americans to come will have the same freedoms we enjoy.
I love this country and what it stands for. I love my heritage and those that have fought for this nation. I love the Americans that stand up for what is right.
May God bless this nation as we embark on a journey that will shape this nation into something anew! May the leaders of this Nation take note of the constitution and realize that it is the founding of our fathers that set in writing that brought about this great nation. May they not trample on their great name so that what they fought for is not in vain.
Again, I express my thoughts and have to say what a blessing it was to serve in the Nation that Obamas father hailed himself from. Oh what a tie that we all have to him as we once served in Kenya.
All I can say is I'm fascinated at this event in American History. Simply fascinated!
