Immediately following the mission I spent a semester at BYU, but couldn't take it anymore and transferred to a state school. After crazy semesters in Peru and Mexico, I finished my B.A. in Modern Languages (Spanish) at Metropolitan State College of Denver, in 2004. In November 2005 I married Selvoy Fillerup. In May 2008 he got his J.D. from the University of Denver, and in December of the same I finished my M.A. in Spanish (Linguistics). We spent some time in northern Mexico, but have returned to the States. We are in a wonderful ward in central Denver. He's pursuing an LL.M in Taxation to narrow in on that area of the law, and I'm doing research and teaching while I shop around for PhD programs. No children yet, but they may appear in the near-ish future. |
