Right now I retired a Super Bowl Champion with the New England Patriots and now I do loans for a mortgage broker. I reflect on the mission days often and miss the smell of the flowers, the humidity with sweat and the ocean. I miss the smell of breadfruit, fires, even rotten breadfruit. I miss seeing the cutest little kids carrying smaller kids and opening up coconuts with a machete. I miss wearing the white shirt and tire and backpack and sweating like crazy. I wish I could live those days again, just for a day. I miss touring the mission, sending the missionaries off to go home or introducing them to the mission. I miss serving and loving.These were days never to be forgotten. Honestly, winning the Super Bowl was awesome. There is no feeling like it yet that I have experienced. However, there is no feeling like serving God and his children. Love you all. Peace. |
