We had tears of love and appreciation for we were honored when the first missionary was called from that great city. Yes, we were there when the church purchased the property for the where the church stands today. Yes, we were there when we got permission to be recognized in that great state and city.
Eternally grateful,
Elder and Sister Clark

Hi everybody,
I'm Claudio Fernando Maciel, from Brazil. I served in Massachusetts Boston Mission from November 1999 to 2001.
While at the MTC I met two great people from Ulaambattar whom I grew to love and care about. The main problem is that they only provided me their church branches pouch as means of communicating.
I was trying to find them at any sort of online social communities or even straight at google, but no success!
Their names are:
( Elder ) Shuuyin Vanchig. He served in California San Jose Mission.
( Sister ) Amarjargal. She served in Illinois Chicago North Mission. She belongs ( or used to ) to the Chingeltei Branch.
I would very much appreciate if you could provide me any information about them! I miss them very much, and it does hurt me a lot not being able to be in touch with them!
My email is claudio.fernando@gmail.com
Thanks for any help! |

Hello Carl,
I know of a Mongolian family and the wife has just recently got baptized. However, her husband does not show interest of the Church and she's sadden about it. I
think it may be caused by an language issue and am wondering if there's Mongolian ward or maybe some Mongolian missionaries serving in Salt Lake City could assist vising them? We are close to University of Utah area.
Thank you so much!

Hi, returned missionaries! A sister came from Mongolia to stay with her daughter in Chicago area for six months. While she is here, she'd like to go to the temple. But we need to find someone who can translate for her. Are there any RM's in Chicago area? This sister lives in Schaumburg. I just moved from there and not able to help her.
Thanks!

I am friends with a sweet sister who has emigrated from Mongolia to live with her daughter. She has been coming to church with me for 8 months and was baptized 2 months ago. She was taught by a sister missionary from Mongolia. The problem is that she speaks very little English, although she is working at it. She was converted chiefly through the scriptures. I speak no Mongolian, but we communicate pretty well. This sister would like a Patriarchal Blessing, but the stake patriarch says that in the absence of a Mongolian-speaking patriarch, she would have to recieve the blessing in English and have it translated for her by someone who is not only bilingual but also prepared to translate by inspiration. I know this is a long shot, but are there any Mongolian-speaking patriarchs in the U.S.? Or does anyone have any other ideas? We live in Idaho Falls. |

Congratulations on your mission call. Our son is serving there but will be returning home in December.
One thing to know is wait to purchase the items for your mission until you get the mission specific letter. We bought all the things listed on the first letter only to realize we did not need to get everything.
Really cold weather items can be purchased in Mongolia for a cheaper price.
Anyway, good luck!

We have a Mongolian student at the English Language Center at Brigham Young University who is a very low level beginner. We are looking for a Mongolian-speaking tutor for him so that he can catch up to the level of his classmates. This would be a volunteer position. If you are willing to help Batmunkh, please email me or call me at 422-4632 as soon as possible. Thanks! |

Hi all, Recently, i have just moved in NY and i do not know any one here. if any members around, please help me to find you and i also need friend here. thanks |

I live near Salt Lake City and would like to find a tutor who could help me improve my terrible Mongolian --(Minnie Mongol khel mash ik moo bain).
My family and I are going back to Mongolia next year for the total solar eclipse that will go over the area just west of Khovd on August 1st 2008 and
(We were all there in 1999. You can read an article I wrote about that trip at:
www.ait.net/technos/tq_10/4mongolia.php
It includes a photo of our dear friend, and returned Mongolian Missionary, Joseph Brubaker who suggested I post a message here.
Took a year's worth of Mongolian at Indiana Univesity in 1999-2000, but have forgotten much of what I learned then.
Any help, suggestions, referals to websites, books and the like are greatly appreciated.
(Just so you know upfront, my family and I are not LDS. I'm a deacon in an Orthodox Christian Church (similar to the Greek or Russian Orthodox, but origniating in Syria.)

Hi there!
This year has been great in here. I think all return missionaries have
strong desire to return to their missions and meet their investigators and
people they know. But only problem here is our finance. In order to help
those people group of our returned missionaries in mongolia is willing to
help you to find a temporary housing for very low price and can provide you
vehicle and tour to countryside and reliable not expensive tour camp. We
can guide you and help you in any way we could. As we know most of you
remember and can speak mongolian perfectly, we can arrange things for you
before you get here. Just let us now where you wanna go and how you wanna
do it. We are ready to help you. This services are effective to all people
who wants to visit to Mongolia , not only return missionaries. Our
advantage is we are so much cheaper than all other servicing companies, and
we are reliable.
Contact us for more information and comments.
Best regards,
Mongolian RMs |
