12 Stitches 11 Feb 2003
Mom wondered about the bad stuff that happens. Not a whole lot ever really happens. Mongolia is a really peaceful place. There isn't a whole lot to worry about. I have kept one secret though. Remember last May when I got tuberculosis shots. We played football and I tripped and hit the back of my head on a rock and got 12 stitches. But it was the perfect time to do it because the doctor was here. The stitches are out, the scar is unnoticeable. He did some special stitch so it wouldn't scar badly and the hair would grow. I had a bald spot for a couple weeks, but it is fine. I figure 7 months of waiting time to tell you is enough, for you not to worry about it. It was a big deal, didn't really hurt. I have had a lot worse back home. That is about the worst news I have had on my mission. I consider myself lucky.
