Aloha! I hit the 50s last year, and occasionally reflect on the wonderful 2 years I spent serving in the Montana Billings Mission. The companions, the members, and especially those special souls that heard the Lord's word and challenge, and accepted it. It warms my soul to know many of those associates continue in the Lord's way. It has been wonderful to connect with many of these acquaintances on Facebook. Lots of growth going on and with that we also say farewell to some. A fond farewell to my WML in Great Falls, Bob Mattingly. I have been touched by so many families as I served. I know there are many others that I haven't heard from in a while my love and aloha to you. So email, Text, or Feel free to request my friendship on Facebook.
I enjoy my calling in the Bishopric and continue to learn weekly of how I can be a better servant.
I teach Art and Math at Rancho HS, in Las Vegas. And have enjoyed the opportunity to share my knowledge of Football, Wrestling, and Throwing(Shotput and Discus) as a coach.
Our eldest son, Sionesi'i (25) is serving in the US Coast Guard. His first assignment, after A-School, is in Cordova, Alaska, he is now Stationed in Seattle ,WA on the USS HEALEY. Si'i has blessd us with 2 granddaughters, Lily Marie Noelani(5) and Ariana Lani (2). Mahana (23) is married to Antonio Ortega and resides with us and we enjoy our other grand children, Ane (2) and Noah(6mos). Clarissa(21) continues with her writing and playing the cello when she is not working at Target, Ikaika(18) is a Senior in HS. Kapua(14), enjoys young womens, and seminary, especially when Mom is her teacher. My eternal companion, Connie Marie is working towards teaching in the Institutes and Seminaries system, she been taking the classes and trainings. |
