Greetings,
My name is Dusty Hulet and I served in the Brazil, Sao Paulo North mission from 2005-2007. I was in the Brazillian MTC with an Elder Armando, a member of the first group of Elders to be sent from Mocambique to Brazil for their training. I will be doing a BYU internship/study abroad in April 2009 and am interested in meeting up with Elder Armando.
If any of you have, or no how I could get, a current email address for Elder Armando, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Dusty Hulet

Hello Everyone,
I hope this site emails you or something. Anyway, I am working with a BYU engineering group to develop a better building material for the poor villages in Mozambique. We've been told that many people have a problem with their homes collapsing when the rainy season hits, and the project aim is to overcome that.
Our problem is that none of us have actually been to Mozambique to see the conditions, so it is difficult to begin designing a solution. Our team would love to meet with any of you and discuss what you actually observed while on your missions. We are based at BYU in Provo, so if you are nearby, I would love to come by and talk with you. If you're farther, I could give you a call.
So please, if anyone could take the time to speak with me about the area, I'd greatly appreciate it. This project has the potential to help a lot of people living in poor conditions right now, but we need accurate information to make everything work.
If you're willing to help, please give me a call or send me an e-mail.
Thanks,
Jon Wright

I served in Johannesburg from 99-01 and was there when we started sending missionaries to Mozambique. One of my first companions was Dennis Fernandez who served left to go to Maputu. I also served with Laivo Casaco from Beira. Awesome guy. Please contact me if you know either of these two people.
Thanks,
Tyler |
