Leah Mae Averett Allan, one of our great NFE Missionaries, died Sep 15th 2006 at her home at the age of 70 of cancer. She served about 1959-1961. I served with her in Hiroshima for six months. And she was one special spirit of God. Her viewing will be held on Tuesday, Sep 19th from 6-8 p.m. at the Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 So, Springville, Utah.

Leah Mae Allan, age 70, of Springville, peacefully left this earth on September 15,2006. She was born January 28, 1936, in Springville, Utah, to Jesse Evon Averett and Valeria Holt Averett. She married Richard Dale Allan on August 22, 1962, in the Manti LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on October 7, 1969.

Leah Mae received a Bachelors degree in elementary education from BYU and taught for a few years and then became a librarian for Nebo School District for several years. She served an LDS mission in Japan.
