In past 50 years I have had 10 children ( 7 boys and 3 girls, just like Job). 8 have served missions & 6 temple marriages. We have always been involved in service having served my mission to Japan as well as helping develop 2 new Branches in Burlington, Co and Goodland, Ks and serving a Gen. Mission, and H. Teaching which is my first love. I have developed a hydroponic nutrient for use in growing food in water. We have had family owned businesses. We grew dried flowers in our "The Dead Flower Society" business. (It was a fun experience with the flowers and arrangements.) I have been an author of poetry, articles and short stories of a farm boy - as well as a 1000 year history of the Celtic peoples. I graduated with a second MA from BYU at age sixty in Geography. I'm retired now and enjoying traveling about the country with my wife in our motor home.

"Obedience is the price, faith is the power, love is the motive, the Spirit is the key, and Christ is the reason." The motto of the Japan Fukuoka Mission can be applied not only to missionary work, but to everyday life. -BYU President Bateman
