Comments:
I served November 1961 - May 1964.
Three adult sons, all married, 2 temple, 1 not yet. Five grandchildren.
Have had several church callings multiple times, indicating either that I showed a little bit of promise at them, or more likely, had (and have) a lot I still needed (and need to) learn!
Acceptance of the gospel (3 Nephi 27: 13-21) and living as commanded will bring personal peace, though trials may continue. In May 2006, retired from an engineering career and began an attempt to hike all of the Pacific Crest Trail. Injury forced abandoning the goal of doing it this year. Planning to hike either the whole trail or the remainder next year. A bit over 1000 miles of the trail hiked so far.
Salvotur ambulando, or something like that.

"Obedience is the price, faith is the power, love is the motive, the Spirit is the key, and Christ is the reason." The motto of the Japan Fukuoka Mission can be applied not only to missionary work, but to everyday life. -BYU President Bateman
