Comments:
Pres. of Japan Kobe Mission 1986-89. I have been teaching at Weber State University in the Criminal Justice Department since 1973. I am retiring from the University July 2001. My wife and I presided over the Kobe Mission from 1986 to 1989. We have raised four sons who all served missions. Two of them to Japan, one to Taiwan and one to France. We have 6 grand children.
We have been in Japan since10-2003. We are the Nat’l Dirs of Public Affairs for Japan, here in the Church Office Bldg in Tokyo.
We work with and train Stake Dirs throughout Japan, but primarily we work with a Key City Committee in Tokyo/Osaka. We are working to build bridges with National Opinion Makers found in the government, media, education, business and religious leaders. Hopefully, more doors will open for missionary work. We work with Elders Kikuchi, Walker, Pincock and Jensen, all from the NFEM era.
Keep up the good work. We always enjoy receiving updates on what is going on with fellow former missionaries.

"Obedience is the price, faith is the power, love is the motive, the Spirit is the key, and Christ is the reason." The motto of the Japan Fukuoka Mission can be applied not only to missionary work, but to everyday life. -BYU President Bateman
