Weldon Reuel Hunsaker, age 66, 1942 ~ 2008 beloved husband, father, grandfather, died on December 15, 2008 from a sudden respiratory illness. Born Feb 5th 1942, in SLC, to Reuel and Zilpha Cox Hunsaker. Weldon lived his life in service to others, and his optimistic and cheerful nature endeared him to those he served. It was on the Farm in Draper where he learned to farm with his father and work in the plastering business. He graduated from Jordan HS and after served a mission to the NFEM. He attended BYU, and married his sweetheart, Pauline Boggess, on March 17th, 1967 in the SLC Temple. They had 6 children. For over 35 years Weldon worked at the Tooele Army Depot as an Engineer. For 12 years he served as a counselor and Bishop in the Draper Third Ward. Then as 1st Counselor in the Draper Eastridge Stk Pres’cy for 10 years and then as the Utah State Prison Bishop and also volunteered in the prison Family Home Evening program for over 20 years. He also served well in the BSA and received the prestigious Silver Beaver Award. At the time of his passing he was serving as a member of the Orem Sharon Stake High Council and a member of the Sharon 5th ward. After the passing of his beloved Pauline - Nov, 1999, Weldon married Ann T. Meyers. Together they spent years in loving support of each other/families. His testimony of Jesus Christ and His eternal plan was the central and most important part of his life along with his love for his family. He also enjoyed hunting with his boys, and family trips to the cabin and Lake Powell. Funeral services held Sat, Dec 20th, 11:00 a.m. at the Draper East Ridge Stake Center (1190 East 12300 South). A viewing held Friday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the Larkin Sunset Funeral Home 1950 East 10600 South in Sandy, Utah. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens. Online condolences at www.larkincares.com

"Obedience is the price, faith is the power, love is the motive, the Spirit is the key, and Christ is the reason." The motto of the Japan Fukuoka Mission can be applied not only to missionary work, but to everyday life. -BYU President Bateman
