Margaret Yamashita PA/58 passed away date: September 10, 1972 of cancer. Sister Mieko Margaret Yamashita was my first missionary companion. We served in Sapporo together. I got there in July but as fall came Sister Yamashita told me they would be transferring her soon as she just knew they would not leave a Hawaiian in Sapporo in the winter. Snow fell and the next Spring just as the snow was melting she got her transfer!
She was born in Maui, Hawaii of Japanese parents. She died September 10, 1972 of cancer.
She was a wonderful missionary and companion!
