Since we have returned home from our 2 yr mission in Panama we have kept busy with family, working at the temple and working as mayor in Raymond, Alberta. We developed a close relationship with another senior couple that served at the same time, Golden and Ina Snell. We have since kept in close contact with them. We learned that Golden passed away Wed. night May 15, 2013. He has had a rare disease that caused a shrinking of the brain at the back. It caused symptoms similar to Lou Gehrig's disease. It was difficult to watch the slow deterioration of his body but he never complained. He fought a good fight and now is at rest. He loved Panama and all the good people he met there. His funeral will be Monday at 11:00am. in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Our condolences go out to his dear wife, Ina who was always there for him right to the end.
