My wife and I were sealed in Palmyra, New York Nov. 5th 2005, and I am also stepdad to a nine year old boy named Joshua. I now teach english in high school here in Quebec. I have also been volunteering several nights a week in a homeless shelter, ever since I returned from my mission. For the moment, my wife is scared to death at the idea of our visiting the Philippines and that is the only reason I have not had a chance to return. I have not forgotten any of my companions and friends in the mission field who have done so much for me. I wouldn't be the same today if it wasn't for the refining, chastising and humbling I experienced as a missionary, and I am especially thankful for the love, charity and patience many of you have expressed so often to me. God bless all of the alumni and those currently serving in the Philippines Tacloban Mission. God bless the Philippines in their afflictions and give them many reasons to hope and be joyful. |
