For all those who served in Mayorga or knew/knows members there, you'll be glad to know that some good things have happened. As always, bad things have also happened, but good trumps bad every time.
On the temple marriage front: Brian, Zienna, and Susie Villegas have all been sealed to their eternal companions in the Manila temple. (Susie has married a guy I knew on my mission)
Leaders:
Brian Villegas has been called to serve as Mayorga branch president, after Ed Aberia was released from that position so he can serve as district president.
Missionaries:
This year, 3 members have been called to serve full-time missions, and they left within a couple months of each other. Francis Villegas and Merla Reduban are serving in Cagayan de Oro Mission. Merla's sister, Reina, is serving in Bacolod Mission. Merla and Reina are my cousins, and I am proud of them.
Baptisms:
There have been so many! We have been blessed to have serving in Mayorga some VERY hardworking missionaries. They have brought many to the knowledge of the gospel.
