I served during the golden years in Portugal. President Ficklin leaded with a genuine love, and this love involved all the missionaries and the members. I was in a business trip in Paris in 1998, and I lost my flight to Brazil, and they offered me a free ticket to any European country, and I went to Portugal. I visited many families that I met during my mission, and I had the honor to speak in a Sacrament Meeting in Figueira da Foz, where I served as a missionary and a Branch President, and 12 years later I was speaking there as a Bishop. I have four kids, and a very special wife. We live in Georgia now, and I am very involved with the missionary work again, and I love this work. It is nice to bring families to the water of baptism, and also to take them to the temple |
