Committing myself to "saying anything I want about myself" is a little intimidating, so I hope not too many people read this. My mission was the most joyous, wonderful season of my life so far. I was washed over by experiences which I could not understand, but which affected me deeply. For the first time in my life, I could not completely analyze, label, and file away all of my daily experiences, and that stretched me and, I hope, made me more compassionate and more trusting in the Lord. I've missed Romania and missionary life and missionary work dreadfully since I've come back, and I'm still figuring out how to make that most wonderful year and a half a part of my life forever. Since I've returned, there are certain things that can elicit almost instantaneous tears--something that actually isn't taht common for me. |
