Hi Everyone,
Just an FYI that President John Morrey has passed away in Logan, Utah. He was the first president of the Romania Bucharest (now Romania-Moldova) mission. He built a strong foundation for the Church in Romania and was a wonderful, loving man who was an example to us all. He joins our beloved Sora Morrey on the other side.
There are more updates posted in the Romania Bucharest Mission Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/372229179541139/650790778351643
I will post funeral information once I receive it.
Toate Cele Bune,
Brandon

President Morrey's health is rapidly declining. Hospice is estimating a survival of only a few days. He is unable to talk but can hear. He moved from Richland, Wa to Logan 9 months ago. His daughter, Diana, is with him and the phone number is 435-535-3798. She asked me to post this message. I will post another message when he passes away.

Buna dimineata tuturor,
Te astept draga Madalin inapoi in mijlocul nostru.

Hi Everyone,
Here is a message I received from someone in the DC area. Please let me know if you are interested and I'll get you the contact info.

I was wondering if you know of any former Romanian missionaries that live
in the Washington DC metro area? Especially Northern Virginia? I live in
Ashburn, Virginia and am looking for someone to tutor me in Romanian. I
would prefer a member of the church if I can find one!
[Also] thought I'd mention that my husband would like to learn Romanian also, so it would be the two of us. We're willing to go to whoever's home for lessons, or whereever they'd like, and of course we would pay them. I've looked for programs to study by tape, but they're rather hard to find. Rosetta Stone, for example, doesn't have Romanian among the languages they offer.

Hi all!
This isn't Leon this is Jenny Wilson, I'll be serving in Romania in a few months so if anyone has some free time and wants to answer these questions that would be great...sorry if they seem stupid...
1. What are the top 10 things you wish you knew before you went on your mission to Romania?
2. Which areas of the mission are open and what is the intake for the Romanian mission? How many people can I expect to be in the same class as me at the MTC?
3. While in Romania can you get a better price if you pay in Euros or in American dollars or in Romanian?
4. What kind of cooking utensils are there in the missionary apartments in Romania?
...that's all i could think of for now :)

Am I the only one who posts messages here?
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has a way of contacting Elder and Sister Jex who served with President Jarvis. We ran into them a month ago, but didn't get their contact info. Anyone have an email address for them?
Thanks!

I figured this may interest some so I am posting it here. A few years ago I worked with ProTV International in getting some of their programming to Romanians living in the US. It does require a custom satellite dish/receiver, It is NOT DISH/DIRECT TV.
You can get several programs/channels now as they have created the Romanian Satellite Network. More information can be found here: http://www.romsatnet.com/ they have a few different packages from 1 channel up to 3 with various programming.

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to type out the Romanian lyrics to "I Know that My Redeemer Lives" for me?
Brandon and I are supposed to sing it in Sacrament Meeting next week and we'd like to do one of the verses in Romanian (if we can still remember how to speak Romanian!).
We're in Seattle for the summer and left our Romanian hymn book in our apartment in Provo.
Thanks!
