We're still living in Texas and working for National Instruments. I carpool with two former Russian missionaries (Samara and Rostov.) Oh well, not everyone had the privilege of serving in St. Pete. :)
I've spent the last four years in the Primary and now I'm the Elder's Quorum instructor. My calling hasn't changed that much. Teresa has been the Young Women's President for the past few years and loves it. Kaylie is a voracious reader, Kaden is a LEGO ninja, and Tyler is the life of the party.
I miss Russia. Like, a lot. I dust off my old language books, glance through my pictures, and often daydream about my mission. I swear, Катюша is constantly playing in the back of my head. Russia is a part of me that will never leave, and it's a wonderful blessing. I can't wait to take my family there someday; maybe when the kids are teenagers. (I hear tickets are at their lowest in January...hehe...) :) |
