The TOPPEST SECRET Shaverma Recipe
GARLIC SAUCE
2 Garlic Cloves, Minced
2 1/4 Tsp. Water
1/16 Tsp. Salt
1/8 Tsp. Lemon Juice
1/4 Large Eggs
1/4 Cup Oil
1/3 Cup Potatoes, Boiled and Peeled
Directions: Boil potatoes. Peel and mash. Add peeled and pressed garlic, water, salt, lemon juice, eggs. Blend together in mixer. Add oil little by little.
WHITE SAUCE
3/4 Cup Kefir
1/2 Cup Sour Cream
1/4 Cup Mayonnaise
1 Dash Salt
1/3 Cup Water
1/2 Tsp. Garlic Clove, Minced
Directions: Peel and grate fresh garlic cloves. Blend with kefir, sour cream, mayonnaise, salt, and water.
MARINADE
3 1/2 Pound Beef, Chicken, or Lamb
1 Tbsp. Salt
3 Tbsp. bakharat (peppery Arabian spice)
1/4 Cup Vinegar
1 Tsp. Lemon Juice
1/4 Cup Kefir
1 Large Onion, Sliced
1 Garlic Clove, Minced
Directions: Mix bakharat, salt, vinegar, lemon juice, and kefir together to make marinade. Slice onion into rings and finely chop garlic; add to marinade. Cut meat into strips or tips and let soak in marinade 8-10 hours.
SHAVERMAS
3 1/2 Pound Beef, Chicken, or Lamb (strips or tips), Marinated
8-10 Pita Shells
2 Tomatoes, Diced
White Sauce
Garlic Sauce
Directions: Broil meat at high temperature until done. Slice pita shells in half; warm up in microwave. flip one half of the pita shell over so the insides are facing the same way. Spread garlic sauce on inside of inside shell. Add meat as desired. Sprinkle tomato generously. Spoon white sauce over top. wrap and eat.
