Hello Elders, Sisters and Friends.

This is Ct. Porter writing from Richland, WA. Sorry I this is the first update I have ever posted. I just found out about this mission web site thing. I know, I'm a little slow. Here's a brief update on the last few years:

On May 6, 2005 Crystal and I got married in the Salt Lake Temple. We found out two days before our wedding that my first assignment as a full-time seminary teacher would be in Richland, WA, about a half an hour away from where Crystal grew up. In August of 2005, I began my new job as a full-time seminary teaching. I love my job! This year, we are studying the Doctrine and Covenants.

In September of 2005 we began the construction of a new home which was completed by year end. We have now been living in it for over a year and have really enjoyed having a place of our own.

In the beginning of 2006, Crystal and I decided to put my accounting degree and experience in preparing taxes to work by starting a business called C&C Tax Prep (named after Chris and Crystal). We have had fun setting up a website (candctaxprep.com), registering as IRS e-filers and making a company logo.

In August of 2006, we welcomed Cailyn Crystal Porter into our home. Crystal and I were both positive we were having a boy, and we’re surprised when the doctor said that we had an 8 lbs. 2 oz baby girl! We both really enjoy being parents! Cailyn loves to laugh and play and has brought so much happiness into our lives. She is now 6 months old as is a whopping 17 lbs. and 27 inches long.

In summary, life is good! I’d love to hear from you guys. Feel free to shoot me an e-mail if you get the chance.
