Comments:
My wife Alicia and I have two children, Shaylee (4) and Derek (2), and we are expecting a third mid-summer 2003.
After the mission, I attended first Ricks and then BYU, where I graduated with a degree in history. Wishing to avoid the real world for the rest of my life, I decided to stay in academia. I completed a Diploma in Jewish Studies at the University of Oxford and then began work on a PhD in medieval studies at the University of Notre Dame. Thus, I spend most of my day crammed into a library carrel studying about people who have been dead for a thousand years. It is highly rewarding, though I wouldn't recommend it for everyone.
Best to all my mission buddies; keep in touch.
