While I live in Olympia, Washington I've been spending part of the time since 2004 in and out of Afghanistan and Iraq as a field software engineer for L3 Communications/C2S2. I served 20 years in the U.S. Army as a Signals Intelligence Analyst with a primary focus in the Russian theater, but I was also able to use Afrikaans a bit. I've ran in to several South Africans here working for such companies as Aegis, Erinys, and Dyncorp. They work primarily as security and have done a great job teaching American soldiers and U.S security teams great security techniques. |
