Comments:
I returned to the United States in 1989 when I was invited to fill a position at New York University as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Dance. Previously, I taught in Johannesburg at the Performing Arts Workshop (P.A.W), and at the University of Stellenbosch in the Cape. Some years before I'd completed a M.A. in Dance at B.Y.U. During our stay in Provo my ex-wife, Dee (Desire) Beech and I were blessed with 2 sons, Jason (now 32) and Nathan (now 28). Our daughter, Jessamy (now 24) was born in Johannesburg during our stay there during 1985-1989. After returning to the States we moved to Arizona where I completed a M.F.A in Choreography and Performance at Arizona State. I taught for a year at the University of Idaho, but we continued on in Arizona, where I performed with some of the notable regional dance companies.

Dee and I decided to divorce in 2004 after many years of struggle with the issue of my sexual-orientation. Shortly thereafter she remarried, a good man, Kenny Hooten, whom she brought into the Church. They now live in La Verkin, Utah, while I live in Salt Lake City. Presently I am an adjunct instructor of undergraduate classes in diversity & fine arts.

I met my partner, Duane Jennings--who had actually been one of my brother Alan's missionary companions--in 2004. We have been a committed couple since 2005 -- so as of now we've been together for 8 years, and are very happy to have found one another. The process of "coming-out" was a long, hard, and painful one, but at the end I find myself with no regrets. And with 3 beautiful adult offspring who love their two new stepfathers equally, life is good!
