| Comments: I attended Dixie College and received my Bachelor's Degree, then went on to BYU where I met my husband. I married Tyler Shurtz in the Saint George Temple on February 4th, 1989. I graduated from BYU in 1991. Since then, I have been a full-time mom. We have four children: Monique (15), Addison (13), Heidi Llyn (11), and Kevin (10). I have been fortunate to have returned to the mission field twice with my husband. On one occasion, my in-laws were serving in the Swiss Temple. During that trip, we traveled with them down south to Marseille. It was General Conference, so members came in from everywhere. I was excited to see Soeur Roth, but not as excited as my mother-in-law. They knew each other from the Temple and always had a kindred spirit for each other, yet neither spoke the other's language. I translated for both of them - it was the first time they had ever been able to say what was in their hearts. What a neat experience that was. | |
