Comments:
Update 2011: I have been released as Bishop after having served a little over 7 years. We are expecting a fourth granddaughter in a short while. "Blessings!" to all.
Update 2010: We had a wedding for our youngest this summer, though she spent the first part of the summer working in an orphanage in Tanzania. Everyone is now married in the temple; we truly are greatly blessed. We have three granddaughters now and I am fortunate to be able to continue serving as Bishop in the Guelph Ward - just about 7 years now. Blessings!
Update 2009: Time marches on. Our three eldest are now married and scattering across the continent. One boy served in Nouvelle Caledonie and the other in Birmingham England. The french speaking one returned to marry a wonderful young woman from Quebec. He now lives in Montreal. Our youngest is at the University of Ottawa, learning French, German, and Arabic. I am just starting my sixth year as Bishop in our ward. This past fall is the first time all of the children have been away; empty nesting is interesting. Blessings to all!
Update 2005: I am now grandfather to a little girl (Madeleine). My eldest son returned from Nouvelle Caledonie just before Christmas and my next son has recently received a call to the England Birmingham mission. He enters the Preston MTC on June 1. Loving the gospel and (as Pres. Stevens always wrote) Blessings! to all.
Original posting: Following my mission, I was married in 1979, and moved to Toronto in 1980 until 1986. We then lived for three years in Seattle and have been in Guelph since then. We have four children (2 girls, 2 boys). Our eldest is about to turn us into grandparents (next couple of weeks) and our second oldest is returning from a French-speaking mission in the South Pacific (Nouvelle Caledonie) in a month. I've been enjoying serving as the Bishop in our ward for about 9 months.
