| Comments: I've lived in SoCal since returning from my mission I married Debora Kirkpatrick (1976-2000) We have 6 children and 10 grandchildren. I'm in San Diego. I was my mom's caregiver until she passed in March 2011. I attended BYU 1 year and graduated from San Diego State University (BA-1976), worked in the Transportation Industry 18 years, began two enjoyable yet brief careers: Insurance Agent (specializing in Home and Auto), then teaching high school and middle school. Now semi-retired due to back injury, Teach piano and have 10 students ages 5-55. Serve as Ward Organist, Primary Pianist, Activities Committee and Music Committee. Dec 2008 called on Social Services Mission (18 months) Bishop's Storehouse. I've never had the opportunity to return to Europe. Loved being the 3rd missionary to serve in Corsica! I enjoyed working with Elders Anderson, Garrett, and Weiler. The highlight of my mission came serving as ZL in Toulouse. Elder Stickney and I were the first missionaries to be told about the creation of the France Toulouse Mission with George Broschinsky as President (1975). In May 1975 we were privileged to provide ground transportation to (then) Elder Gordon B. Hinckley (Apostle) was the chairman of the Church Missionary Committee. I served as his translator during some member and missionary meetings. I'd like to catch up with other companions-David Anderson (Toulon), Scott Andersen, Elder Garrett, Robert Weiler (Bastia) and Jay Cammack (Geneva). If anyone can put me in contact with any of these I'd appreciate it. | |
