She hurled some unkind thoughts at us, and, deciding to punctuate the conversation with a final gesture of contempt, reached back and slammed the door in our faces with all her might...
...only she hadn't noticed that her cat had decided at that moment to wander out into the hall, and was half-way out of the apartment when the door came crashing shut.
The poor little black cat received the brunt of her owner's ire; the door hit the cat square in the side with a thud, rebounding in great shakes. The cat let out a small yelp, and then proceeded into the hall, a little stunned. |
