Stories: Another star in our midst

| Not really a mission story, but it pertains to one of our own alumni. My husband was in the Army and National Guard for many years. Naturally, he has an affinity for all things military. We were watching the Military channel last night and came across a show called "Escape to the Legion". It was about 12 men who were going through French Foreign Legion training, not to join, but to experience something that really pushed them to their limits. The man in charge of the training, Sgt. Ferguson, looked very familiar to me. Then I remembered seeing him on this website. He is married to the former Soeur Delphine Demortier.
The show was fascinating, so much so that I recorded every subsequent episode shown last night. I highly recommend it, although there is some very coarse language used by the men. The expletives were distracting, but, all in all, it was an excellent program. Hope you can find it! |
