| Comments: I received my island name, Sonisoni, from the Johnson outboard motor. I served from August 24, 1974 - September 4, 1976 under President Childers and President Baudin. I served in the LTM with Brent Corruth, in Papenoo with Christopher Harrill, Tahaa with Craig Schindler, Uturoa with Melton Parry, Hitiaa with David Reed and Rodney McBride, and in Papeete with Charles Urban and Mark James. I finished in the Cook Islands with Sylvain Sinjoux. I live in Chandler, Arizona with my sweetheart Jamie -- We have five children and three grandchildren. I teach sixth grade and evening GED classes through the community college. Arizona is a far cry from the islands, but when I see the sunset with palm trees in the foreground my heart takes me back and I smile. Those who taught me in the LTM, put up with me as a companion, and endured my shortcomings as a teacher have enriched my life as few other have. | |
